Discipline
Policy
All children deserve the opportunity to participate in a safe, friendly
and respectful atmosphere. In order to accomplish this, we have developed
a standards set of rules and consequences.
Standard Rules
- Always stay with
the Group.
- Follow Staff
instructions on the first request.
- Keep your hands
and feet to yourselves.
- Show respect
for others and their property.
Consequences
1. Verbal warning
2. If inappropriate behavior persists, or if the behavior is disruptive,
a “time-out’ will be given. The child will be asked to
sit and watch an activity for a short period of time (3-5 minutes).
3. A longer “time-out” will be given or privileges will
betaken away i.e. snack bar, swimming, etc.
4. Parent/Staff Communications letter will be given to the parent
to sign.
5. If a child receives three (3) Parent/Staff Communication notes
during one summer, or is physically violent towards the Staff or other
campers, the child may be asked to leave the program.
