Announcement

We have had several spammers hit the board recently. If you are new member on the forum, you will be automaically BANNED if you do not have profile information listed so I can verify who you are. This is a little more work for me in the short term, but i find it preferable to searching for, and deleteing hundreds of spam entries off of here.

Security upgrades to the forum

I am currently working on the forum for security upgrades... itf it works, we should be able to stop the spammers form getting in. it may take me a little while to get it right, so if you see somehting wacky, it is probably because I'm messing with stuff. If I cant get it to work,. I'll restore the older version

Thanks

Re: Security upgrades to the forum

you may have noticed a slight change in format on the forum. I sitll have to work out one kink in the system and then everythgin should be fine. Its just a matter of apearance though. I should have it corrected in the next day or so when i get a block of time to do it.

BUT...

what does this mean to you?  well... almost nothing, you get more smileys
smile    sad and sad   big_smile   yikes    wink     hmm     tongue     lol     mad     roll     cool

look up the codes if you are curious..

it also means we wont get the spammers that have been itting the board. the first level of security was ok, but it still let spammers register, this one is a bit smarter and will stop most spambots from logging in or putting links to diet pills or whatever.

moderators also have more flexibility and control though i doubt they would need it.

other than that... post away on this thing and tell me if there are any problems

Re: Security upgrades to the forum

I just fixed one more annoying thing.  mad   The menu options now have a "CFFA Home" option that will take you back to the main website if you wish. I was getting tired of hitting the back button 11 times to get to a navigatable page outside the forum.

this makes me less grumpy..

cool big_smile cool

I'M thinking your avatar reveals the pain you get as a web master sometimes.
