I was somewhere between the truth and joking. We do have at least two knees, one foot, two shoulders, and one elbow that are not 100% and that is just what I know about.

I have arthritis and a formerly broken bone in my right wrist...

Let's not forget about our nearly-one-eyed President.

You know.... the more I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of a forum specifically for fencing related sports injuries and working with an injury on the strip. I have read more than one article addressing the attitude of dealing with an injury on the strip, how to care for them, what they mean, and how to prevent them. I even remember an article about how to prevent skin irritations by taking care of your jacket and knickers.
With Yoda and his Knee brace, and Laurie with her eye, and me fencing with briken ribs (Skateboard related, not fencing... but broken ribs cant be avoided on the strip) and a myriad of other injuries I have had discussions about with fencers from plenty of places, I think it would be a good idea to have a place to talk about them here.
For instance... do you ice and injury or put heat on it? I'm not suggesting we use this forum as a replacement for sound medical advice but i will also acknowledge that we fencers are a stubborn breed and would tend to continue on and ignore the injury, and there is even less chance of going to a doctor for it.
As I find articles, I'll post them up there as a general library of resources for people who have a lazy Saturday afternoon and have time to read them.
I would recommend other people should do the same.
so look at the new forum and post questions and comments for what worked and didn't work for you.
