Olympics

Hey everyone!

I was wondering if someone might record the fencing bouts during the Olympics for me, as I do not have TV. It can be quite vexing at time to not  be able to see these important moments. You know?

Anyway, Thanks to whomever records it! I owe you one.

Re: Olympics

I have 3 of the women's saber DE's (1 semi-final, bronze medal bout, and gold metal bout) recorded on my DVR. The only problem is that I do not have a VCR to transfer the bout to.sad Maybe someone else has the bouts on a portable format.

After seeing the saber matches, I have a better idea on how I could fence saber better. The footwork is what made things "click" for me. smile I previously had been having trouble with wrapping my head around the footwork.

Re: Olympics

Chris Sharma was also wondering if anyone was recording the fencing.  You might be able to turn this into a cottage industry.

As far as sabre footwork, there were three Polish coaches who presented at the coaches conference in sabre.  One is the current coach at Notre Dame and ex-Polish National Coach, the second was on Polish national teams and was a finalist at World Cups, the third was on the 2000 Polish Olympic team and a finalist at World Cups.  They all did different things, saying this is modern sabre footwork.  Welcome to fencing.

Re: Olympics

It's on the net at NBC sports. The quality is not that bad, I've been watching the men's team fencing and enjoying it, although some commentary would be nice.
